How did Flyfishing Destinations LLC come to be?
Back in the late 1990’s founder and president of Flyfishing Destinations Jamie Astle used to flyfish and get together weekly and tie flies with a few friends who were employees of Bob Marriott’s Flyfishing Store, Fullerton California. Flyfishing of course was always the subject of conversation, who, what, when and where. The idea of getting a group of friends together to purchase multiple locations to flyfish just didn’t seem to happen. Even then having a group of friends or three to four couples go on a week long fishing trip at a quality lodge ran between $8,000 to $15,000. That’s when the idea of a fly-fishing time share or club came to mind.

One of our consultants who has extensive background in Time Share analysis and development suggested a club structure. This was a new concept in vacation packaging in the flyfishing industry but had potential. After several years of compiling general and legal information and of course samplings various flyfishing locations Flyfishing Destinations LLC was formerly launched in 2004.
What is the cost of a five-year membership?
Introductory offer (limited to 24 Members) is $35,000 for Prime Time and $30,000 for High Time Membership. For corporate or group membership pricing is the same although additional designees can be added for $500 each. Only 6 total designees are allowed per membership.

Do I have to wait until the club has 24 members before I can utilize my membership?

No.  Flyfishing Destionations has multiple properties available for use on a first come first serve  basis.   These properties are not owned by the Club but are leased by the Club as needed.  Access to these facilities may also be available if additional weeks of stay are desired in a given year during your Club Membership.

What happens at the end of five years and I want to renew my membership? Does the price of my membership escalate?
Absolutely not! When your membership term is complete you will have the option of renewing your membership at your initial introductory price for two additional membership terms. That means ten years down the road you still only pay your initial introductory membership fees. Also your membership and the renewal policy are transferable. Your membership value will likely appreciate with time. This renewal policy will provide value to our members in the future whether renewing their membership or in the case that they wish to sell their membership.
What do I get for being a club member?
With your membership you reserve accommodations in one of a kind custom built homes on some of the finest “Blue Ribbon” Flyfishing Rivers in the world. These properties are not lodges or small cabins for rent, these are one of a kind private luxury estates. Our prior to arrival service provides flight, auto rental and flyfishing guide reservations. Whether you plan on fishing as much as possible or sitting on the deck with a cool drink watching the river go by, the scenery is absolutely breathtaking and the experience will last a lifetime.
How many members does Flyfishing Destinations have?
This club will have 5 locations and only 165 members total. Once those memberships are reserved people will be put on a waiting list for the next available opening.
When can I use the properties?
When you initially join Flyfishing Destinations you will select a particular week of use. This will be your designated week of use during your membership. Trading for an alternate week of use is certainly allowed if available. We have a bulletin board on our web page for this purpose.
What time do we check in and when do we check out?
Check in is every Sunday at 4:00 PM. Check out is every Sunday at 10:00 AM.
This schedule allows our crews to have time to do the required cleaning and any repairs that may be required.
Why join Flyfishing Destinations?
The best reason to join is that this is a unique opportunity to have access to exquisite ranch homes in prime locations at a fraction of the cost of owning your own. Imagine the cost of owning and maintaining $5 million dollars of vacation homes and hundreds of acres or property. Flyfishing Destinations offers no significant down payments, no homeowner headaches, no frozen pipes or leaking roofs to worry about. No trying to find a secluded rental home that may or may not cut the mustard.

Secondly is our service in planning your vacation. We can arrange your travel plans and we know the local flyfishing guide services so we can set you up with top-notch guides. We can provide additional time saving services and amenities prior to and during your arrival. We deal with local service providers on a weekly basis and because our clients are their clients, they want to make sure that our clients have the time of their lives.
What if someone has already reserved the week that I want?
Remember that there are five memberships per week. If the week is taken that you want you can reserve the desired week for the next 24-member group offering. Note that a new property will be purchased or built with the addition of each 24 members.
How do I reserve a desired week?
Contact Flyfishing Destinations and we will send you a membership application. When the application has been approved we will contact you ask you to reserve your desired time period of use. This time period will be on a first come first serve basis. A $1000 no questions asked fully refundable good faith deposit is required to reserve your membership and secure your week of use. These funds are to be deposited into a third party escrow account until a total of twenty-four members have reserved their club membership. Once the membership reaches twenty-four entities, Fly Fishing Destination LLC will ask the members to deposit the remaining fees into the escrow account and Fly Fishing Destinations LLC will close escrow on the given property. (Note that the fees less the down payment can be financed.)
What types of homes will these properties be and what is the quality?
Our accommodations are exclusive, rustic, private, luxurious, custom built log or cedar type homes on the banks of various western blue ribbon rivers. These private homes are the best money can buy ranging from $800,000 to $1.5 million with up to 60 acres of land. Many properties that we are seeking have large ranches or nation forestland as neighbors that will provide complete privacy. If time is available Flyfishing Destinations will have at least two of the properties built with state of the art custom log home technologies.
Is the cost of the Flyfishing guides extra?
Yes, in most cases the added services are a la carte. Although most services are used on a weekly basis they are subcontracted services or paid directly by the member. This helps keep your cost down, gives you more flexibility during the vacation and we hope a more relaxed use of your free time. Note that we recommend that you give us as much notice as possible on which days you would like guide service. The more time we have the more experience guide we can reserve.
Will I catch fish?
You will have access to some of the best fishing in the country, but it is still called “Fishing” not “Catching”. If you are a beginner a guide can help teach you some of tricks of the trade and make sure that you get on fish. Some guides are better with beginners than others. Let us know what your capabilities are and we will try to set you up properly. The more you cast and fish the better you will get. By the time your membership is done you will likely have the ability to fish anywhere in the world and be able to catch fish on a fly rod.
Do you provide membership financing?
Yes, Flyfishing Destinations can finance Memberships at a10% fixed interest rate and 25% down payment. Full payment must be made 60 days prior to your final visit.
