During your stay you will also need to fish Paradise Valley. Paradise Valley’s main event is the Yellowstone River. This is legendary big water, with miles and miles of great fishing. The Yellowstone is a free stone river which starts up in Yellowstone National Park and runs undammed past Billings, Montana. The fishing is good for over two hundred miles. There are many other famous waters in the area including Depuy’s, Nelson, and Armstrong’s Spring Creeks. These creeks are crystal clear meadow streams teaming with wild fish. These creeks come from underground aquifers that keep the water temperature at a constant 55-60 degrees year round. Winter run off does not affect these waters making them an excellent choice during times when other waters are turbid. The culmination of these conditions makes these waters a fish factory.
