Many of these lakes are famous in their own right. Lakes like Henry’s, Hebgen, Quake, Cliff, Yellowstone, Palisades, Blackfoot any many others produce fish that you are not likely going to catch in any of the rivers in the area. Float tubes, pontoon boats and motorboats can be rented from many of the shops in the areas or we can arrange for the needed vessels or guides. There is nothing like the feeling of stripping a wooly bugger and having a fish give you an arm jolting strike. When the fish instantly snaps off your fly from your 6X tippet you think to yourself, “I am going to need some rope to hold these fish”. Well, not rope but in most circumstances I prefer Cortland’s Clear Camo Fly Line and a 9’ leader with several feet of 4X tippet. During your visit give it a try; it is very relaxing right up until you have “Fish On”.
